3 Steps Digital Learning System

The 3-Step Digital Learning System is a comprehensive framework designed to help seniors become confident users of digital technology. The system is built around three key areas of focus: keyboard and mouse skills, key terminology and icons related to applications, and layout organization. This Learning System provides a structured approach to digital learning that helps seniors build confidence and proficiency with digital technology.

Step 1:

Develop and Practice
In the first step of the system, seniors learn foundational skills related to using a keyboard and mouse, including touch typing, proper finger placement, clicking, dragging, resizing, and manipulating objects within an application. The first step is designed to provide adult learners with hands-on practice and clear step by step guidance on how to use these tools effectively.

Step 2:

Remember and Recall
The second step of the system aims to develop foundational knowledge of key computer terms and concepts, as well as to build an icon memory related to digital applications. Learning and remembering common digital terms and what they mean is essential to build confidence. In the same way, building an icon memory which involves becoming familiar with what different icons represent enables adult learner use technology more proficiently.

Step 3:

Emerge and Thrive

The final step of the system focuses on teaching seniors about digital interfaces, layouts, and other essential organizational skills. Through this step, seniors learn to develop their intuition and learn how to locate various features, tools, and commands within digital applications. By acquiring these skills, seniors can navigate and use technology more effectively, becoming more comfortable in their ability to operate digital devices and software.

How our training programs are different from others

Brain-Based Learning

We use research-based instructional frameworks that are aligned with how the human brain learns.

Active Learning

We employ active learning principles that help learners to stimulate their brains in different ways for example, cognitively and emotionally.

How seniors are guided in developing digital skills

  1. By helping seniors develop the necessary skills to use the keyboard and mouse.
  2. By familiarizing them with the symbols and icons used in the digital applications.
  3. By helping them learn the key terminology and layout. of different applications.

How our programs can benefit seniors?

Improve Memory

Seniors will be introduced to various learning strategies that improve retention and recall. Memory plays a key role in learning.

Build Confidence

As a result of training learners gain confidence in their digital skills and a sense of independence.
